With 30 years in the car wash industry, Mike Grimes has built a career rooted in hands-on experience, leadership, and a deep understanding of what it takes to run high-performing operations. He started where many great operators do — in the heat of full-service wash bays, learning every role, every piece of equipment, and every detail that defines a truly great wash.

As his expertise grew, Mike moved into larger roles, eventually working within private equity–backed car wash groups. There, he managed high-volume sites with aggressive performance expectations and sharpened his skill in scaling operations, controlling costs, and building systems that deliver consistent results.

Driven by an entrepreneurial mindset, Mike went on to start and operate his own successful management company, helping struggling sites turn around their processes, rebuild teams, and improve profitability. This chapter broadened his perspective even further: from chemistry and workflow, to culture, leadership, and long-term operational strategy.

After three decades of helping washes grow from nearly every angle, Mike joined KCX USA as the chemical sales representative for the Southeast Region. For him, it was a natural evolution — combining his operational background, his business experience, and his passion for helping operators get the most out of their tunnels.

Today, Mike spends his time in the field partnering directly with operators to dial in product performance, reduce waste, elevate final results, and boost overall profitability. He approaches every wash like he approached his own: with accountability, pride, and an operator’s eye for detail.

When he’s not working with clients, Mike focuses on personal development and making the most of quality time with his wife and family. His story is one of long-term commitment, steady growth, and a genuine drive to help operators succeed.
