Hunter Johnson

 

Hunter’s passion for car care started back in high school when he got his first car and became obsessed with keeping it clean and looking its best. What began as a weekend hobby turned into a full-blown obsession with detailing—testing products, dialing in techniques, and chasing that perfect finish. Now, as a Sales Representative at Koch-Chemie, Hunter gets to share that same passion with detailers and shops across the industry.

Before joining Koch-Chemie, Hunter wore a lot of hats—he’s worked in retail, coached tennis, managed a coffee shop, and handled marketing design for a Fortune 500 Title Company. No matter the role, he’s always been about quality and helping people find the right tools for the job.

Hunter’s been an active voice in the detailing community for years. He was selected as a TRC Grambassador for Q2 of 2022, earning the award for Best Photos, and returned for the second half of 2023 to compete in the Grambassador Showdown—where he was narrowly edged out for the Grambassador of the Year title. He’s still deeply involved with TRC and continues to support and engage with the Grambassador community.

Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Hunter grew up in nearby La Vernia and eventually made his way back home. These days, he spends most of his time with his wife, exploring new restaurants and coffee spots. He’s also into photography, model building, video games, watches, and squeezing in a few sets of tennis or pickleball whenever he can. And yes—he’s still detailing cars for fun.
